Meet Andy, a proud and seasoned resident of the Central Coast, who has dedicated 17 out of 20 years of his glazing trade years to being part of O'Brien Glass.

“I’ve lived on the Central Coast for 21 years now and can’t fault this place. I get to meet so many friendly, welcoming customers, who also love where they live too”.

“It’s a luxury to practice my trade right here across the Central Coast, without the hassle of commuting. Living here feels like being part of a big family.”

The O’Brien Glass Central Coast team have many experienced glaziers who are locals, that service from Gosford to the Hunter Valley to Newcastle and surrounds.   With the main branch for O’Brien Glass based in Newcastle, the depot in Warabrook helps the local team manage the stock needed to service our customers. From home right through to larger commercial jobs, the team are quick to respond to calls for help to fix broken glass as well as upgrades and replacements for all types of glass.

Andy loves working with his colleagues like Mark, Ben and Mousty.

“When I’m not on the job driving the O’Brien yellow truck around, you’ll likely find me enjoying my favourite beaches, Copacabana and Macmasters Beach, or spending quality time with my family. Living and working here on the coast offers a unique lifestyle that I wouldn’t trade for anything.”

If you live in or around Tullamarine and ever find yourself in need of a glazier, it could be Lee Taylor who attends to your job. Here we find out more about Lee.

Lee Taylor is the local glazier servicing the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne out of the O'Brien® Glass Tullamarine branch. Lee has worked with O'Brien for over 6 years and says the best part of his job is completing a job and seeing the sense of relief that brings to a customer.

“Most of my day is spent repairing broken doors or windows and that can be a stressful situation for a customer. To know I’ve done my part to restore security to their home is rewarding.”

Although Lee spends a lot of time on domestic jobs, he does his fair share of bigger more technical jobs too and the camaraderie he shares with his colleagues is a part of the job he likes most.

“At Tulla we are a close team. We work well together as we have different skill sets and strengths and we can call upon each other to get the job done.”

Lee has lived for 15 years in Melbourne mainly in and around Eltham. “I love living around Eltham as it has a good sense of community, lots of trees and hills and it’s easy to get out into the countryside.” One of Lee’s favourite spots in Tullamarine is the Organ Pipes National Park. “There is some really interesting rock in the park. I also enjoy seeing all the different suburbs and how the buildings change as I go about my work day.”

Lee loves the outdoors, and outside of work you’ll find him walking or camping and exploring the local parks and forests.

Moegamat Khan, or Dean as he’s known to his workmates and customers in Sydney’s South West, is a family man with a big heart. For him, the best part of his job is finding ways to go that extra mile for his customers.

“I love dealing with customers, especially elderly customers, and going over and above for them in any way I can. It makes me feel happy knowing I have done my very best for them and they are happy.”

Dean, who is based out of the O'Brien Glass® branch in Silverwater, has lived in the South West since his family emigrated to Australia from South Africa when he was four years old. He loves working in the area. He has worked as a glazier for 22 years, the last 2 with O'Brien®.

“The glazier in me loves the wide streets, flat blocks and easy accessibility of the houses in the South West.”

Even outside of work, you’ll find Dean on the tools. He’s just finished building his own home in from scratch. The house, located in Macarthur Heights, took him 6 months to build and he’s so happy with the result. Now that the house is finished, Dean has more time to spend at one of his favourite local haunts the West Leagues Club in the Campbelltown area.
