On Friday, 29 August, the Crown Palladium came alive for the 2025 NECA Victoria Awards, an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence in the electrotechnology industry. The event honoured outstanding projects and individuals from across the state.
Recognising Excellence & Celebrating Innovation and Connections
The NECA Awards shine a spotlight on the dedication, skill, and innovation of people and projects within the electrical and communications industry. From sustainability and design to leadership and apprenticeships, the awards highlight the best our sector has to offer. Beyond recognising achievements, the awards serve as a platform for industry professionals to network, share ideas, and celebrate with peers, clients, and colleagues.
Our Team’s Achievements
This year, we were honoured to be named finalists in five categories – a massive achievement in itself. But, we are proud to announce we took home two category wins:
-
Commercial Small Project Award – Our Lady of Sion College
This award recognises projects that demonstrate technical innovation, excellence in design, and seamless delivery in the commercial sector on a smaller scale. Our Lady of Sion College was a fantastic example of how thoughtful planning and execution can deliver outstanding results for education facilities.
-
Green Energy Award – SolShare: Solar for Apartments
The Green Energy Award celebrates projects that push boundaries in sustainability and renewable energy. Our SolShare project showcased how solar can be made more accessible for multi-residential living, creating a blueprint for greener, more energy-efficient communities.
We’re also incredibly proud of Riannah Virgin, who received a Highly Commended in the Women in Energy Award. This category recognises women making exceptional contributions to the electrotechnology sector, highlighting leadership, mentorship, and innovation. Riannah’s recognition reflects both her personal and professional achievements.
Looking Ahead
The state winners from the 2025 NECA Victoria Awards will now compete on the national stage, with the winners to be announced at a black-tie gala dinner in Brisbane on 27 November 2025.
We’re thrilled to have our projects and people recognised among the best in the industry, and we look forward to representing Victoria at the national awards.
